Q - Who is Tactical Tech?
A - Tactical Tech is an international NGO helping human rights advocates use information, communications and digital technologies to maximise the impact of their advocacy work. Q - What will the climate be like in Bangalore in February?
A - Bangalore is quite pleasant during this time since it’s the beginning of summer. The average temperatures will be around 25 degrees. However, the nights and early mornings can be quite chilly, so please make sure you at least have a few warm clothes and a light jacket.
Q - When and how will my expenses be reimbursed?
A - If you have been awarded a scholarship, your expenses shall be reimbursed upon submission of your receipts after the camp through a bank transfer or
during the camp, under special circumstances.
Q - What about my visa to India?
A - Most nationals require a visa to India. Please check if you need a visa to India and indicate the cost of this in your application form. We shall send you all the necessary documents in order for you to obtain your visa.
Q - What are the exact dates of the event?
A -The camp will be held between the 19th and the 25th of February 2009.
Q - When do I need to arrive in Bangalore?
A - You will need to arrive in Bangalore on or before the 18th of February 2009 and leave on or after the 26th of February 2009.
Q - Will I be picked up from the airport or train station?
A - Yes, someone from Tactical Tech will pick you up from the airport or station and bring you to the venue. More details of this closer to the event.
Q - Is there internet access at the camp?
A - Yes, there will be internet access at the camp. However, the service will be available only during certain times of the day.
Q -Will I get a room of my own?
A - Our camps are all about sharing! So please be prepared to share your rooms and tents. In case, you have a personal reason for you to have a room of your own, please do let us know and we shall take that into consideration.
Most participants will be sharing tents. If you want to bring your own tent, please feel free to do so. Please be assured that our tents will be very comfortable and beautifully designed!
Q - Is it possible for me to attend just a few days of the event?
A - No. As a participant at the camp, you will have to attend the entire event.
Q - What’s the best way to get in touch with Tactical Tech?

Q - What should I bring along to the camp?
A - Make sure you bring some warm clothes since its a bit chilly at night. Also please bring your own towels. We will provide you with bedding including blankets.
Feel free to also bring your laptop and other equipment if you please. If you are unable to bring your laptop, we will be happy to provide you with one for use at the camp.
Q - Will laundry services be available?
A - Yes, there will be laundry service at the camp. We will also have a small shop where you can buy basic stationary like toothbrush, towels, tampons etc.
Q - Should I take any vaccination before coming to the camp?
A - Please check with your doctor if you need to be vaccinated for anything before you travel to India. Generally, Bangalore is quite free of water-borne and mosquito related diseases.
